KMV reduces emissions by 95%

24 June 2021

KMV replaces our old fossil driven heating to renewable electric and heating!

Our new heating system makes us lower our emissions with 130 metric tonnes per year, says Mattias Nettelbladt, CEO of KMV. The investment is part of a long-term plan to reduce our carbon footprint here at KMV. Our focus is long-term growth and a climate efficient industry through the whole process, sustainable manufacturing is necessary to achieve this goal. The investment is partly financed through Naturvårdsverkets investmentfund Klimatklivet and is a good example of a sustainable business, says Mattias.

By switching to renewable heating KMV reduces it's emissions by 95%! That is comparable to about 700 cars per year to an average driving rate. That says a lot! Our goal is to work towards continously lowered climate impact in our processes to be an even more sustainable manufacturing partner and employer, Mattias Nettelblad finishes with.

The project is partly funded by Naturvårdsverket. The fund was 45% of the total investment. Learn and read more here.
